Children need to grow in personality and character, developing their understanding of what is possible for them. They need the self-belief to achieve and thrive in their world.
Every year the children are encouraged to set themselves targets for the year and think about what they would like to be when they grow up.
Through our visits to other places and visitors into school, our pupils get the chance to meet interesting people and find out about what they do and what careers are available to them in the future.
We are an Eco School and hold the Gold Award. Through this scheme the children learn the importance of sustainability and creating opportunities for the future.
A wide-ranging programme of extra-curricular activities, sporting and music opportunities give the children the opportunity to share their talents with others.
Our wise owl, Socrates reminds us that "wisdom begins in wonder" and challenges the children every week to answer a "big question". The children enjoy thinking hard and exploring the interesting topics that Socrates suggests.
Our aim is to ensure our pupils know what possibilities are available to them and have the confidence and knowledge to take these on optimistically, knowing that the possibilities are endless.
