Dear boys and girls
Hello from everyone here in school!
Well, the weather has changed this week and I expect some of you have had to stay inside a lot more. I think we will be back to warmer and sunnier times next week so try to get out in the garden or for some exercise with your parents when you can. I have been doing some gardening and have planted some seeds, beans, broccoli, lettuce and peas. I am hoping that by the time it comes to harvest my vegetables we will be back together in school. That is really something to look forward to!
Miss Sanders has had her baby, a little boy called Marley Jon Ellis who was born on Monday afternoon. I know you will want to wish her and her family well at this time.
Well done if you are doing the home learning set by your teacher each day. These lessons with your parents will really make a difference to your learning and help you to keep your brain “ticking over”. Have you checked out BBC Bitsize or the Oak Academy for other opportunities to do some school work?
Remember to send us pictures of your achievements and you may get a star award.
This week I am thankful for the longer days and the rain which is watering the flowers and vegetables in my garden, enabling them to grow faster and better. I am thankful for my family and for computers and other devices which help us to contact them even when we cannot visit. I am thankful to be healthy and well and my thoughts and prayers this week are with those who are feeling poorly at this time.
I will be giving out virtual Star Awards to children who have done great work at home or who have had a “Harris Standard” attitude. Teachers will nominate children for these awards and your parents can too! If you have had a birthday over the last two weeks then we send you very warm wishes and hope you had a lovely day.
Stay safe and keep smiling!
