Forest School Summer Term
We had a fantastic time today learning outdoors for our final forest school session. As part of our science, we began to learn about seeds, plants and what they need to grow. We also developed simple fieldwork and observational skills studying the geography of our school grounds using maps and physical/natural features.
Activity 1: To complete a position and direction quiz by the campfire with hot chocolate and biscuits.
Activity 2: To use a simple map of our school grounds to locate physical/natural features and then answer a maths reasoning question.
Activity 3: To plant root vegetables in our school garden to use next half term for our healthy wraps.
Activity 4: To explore how seeds are all different and that they are dispersed in different ways to start the lifecycle of a plant.
