Leadership

Our world needs responsible, honest and capable leaders. Our pupils are talented and aspirational children who will want to take a lead in whatever sphere they find themselves in in the future.

Harris pupils are talented and ambitious. We hope they will demonstrate good leadership in whatever sphere they find themselves in in later life. The aspects of leadership we promote are as follows:

·Respect

·Commitment

·Teamwork

·Communication

·Determination

·Vision

Our School Council members represent all pupils in the school and help us make decisions which affect learning and extra-curricular activities. The School Council members choose a charity to support every year. Last year the School Council raised over £1400 for The Harris Museum.

We promote leadership at all levels and our headteacher has been involved in leading training for potential school leaders.

The school is a member of the Preston Teaching Schools Alliance.

Our aim is to equip our pupils with the leadership skills they will require both now and in the future. We hope that pupils will increasingly influence adult school leaders.
