Measuring out Magic Potions

This week in maths we have been consolidating our understanding of measure. Today we focused on volume and capacity. The children had to make a magic potion that was 100ml using 5 different potions. Then they needed to accurately measure each potion into a measuring cyclinder reading the scale carefully and add it to their cauldron. We had potions that were all sorts of colours and the children named them. To check how accurate they were, they then poured their cauldrons back into the measuring cyclinder which should have totalled 100ml.
