Message for Children - 22.4.2020

Dear girls and boys

Hello from everyone here in school!

I hope you are still being good for your parents if you are at home at the moment. I can see that lots of you are completing the work set by your teachers on the school website. Well done! Make sure you send us pictures of things you have done and achieved – perhaps you will get a Star Award from me or from Mr Groom. I have taken a few days off school and have had a lovely time doing some cooking, gardening and reading.

I know that lots of you will be spending extra time on your computers and other devices at the moment. Please remember to stay safe and think about the lessons you have had at school about internet safety. Do not give any personal details out online and speak to your parents or carers if you come across anything that makes you feel uncomfortable.

Remember to say thank you to your parents and carers and try to find something to be thankful for each day. Here in school we are thankful for the sunshine, our NHS workers and other key workers. We are thinking about our friends and looking forward to the time when we can be back together in school again. What a lot we will have to tell each other!

Miss Sanders has now started her maternity leave and we send her and her family every best wish at this time. I will let you know the baby details as soon as we hear anything.

Star Awards

I will be giving out virtual Star Awards to children who have done great work at home or who have had a “Harris Standard” attitude. Teachers will nominate children for these awards and your parents can too! If you have had a birthday over the last two weeks then we send you very warm wishes and hope you had a lovely day.

Stay safe and keep smiling!

Mrs Gregory
