Message for Key Workers - 22.4.2020

Dear Parents/Carers

You are receiving this letter because you are a key worker.

I hope you and your families are safe and well. We have been blessed with lovely weather since the lockdown started which has been a bonus for all of us. The children have spent happy days outside and have managed to complete some of their home learning each day.

We continue to open 8am to 5pm each day and around 10-15 children are attending each day. This number is high compared to other schools and I would respectfully ask you to ensure that you only send your child into school if there is no one else at home who could look after them.

A huge thank you to all our staff who are continuing to work either at home or at school.

The school kitchens are open again and providing packed lunches for KS1 pupils and KS2 pupils who have ordered a school lunch.

The weather is lovely at the moment and the children are spending a lot of time outdoors. However, your child still needs layers of clothing as there is still a cool nip in the air. As the weather gets warmer, please apply a “once a day” sun cream before your child leaves the house each morning and make sure your child brings a sun hat. Clothing should fully your child’s shoulders.

It is helpful (but not essential) if parents could let us know when need childcare is needed. Don’t worry if you are called in to work at the last minute, we have plans in place to cater for any number of children each day if necessary.

The best way to contact school is by email if possible using either or

Best wishes and stay safe!
