Message for the children - 3rd April 2020

Dear boys and girls

Well done if you are working at home at the moment. Your teachers are really enjoying receiving messages about you and what you have been getting up to this week. Keep them coming!

Lots of you are enjoying the extra time spent at home with your parents but I know that sometimes you might miss your friends and might get a bit fed up with having to stay at home so much. However you feel, it’s OK and absolutely normal to feel a range of emotions. Stay positive and try to help your parents as much as possible, they are doing a great job too!

Well done to those boys and girls who have been in school this week. We know that you are missing your friends but all the teachers who are looking after you have told me that you are making friends with children in other classes and behaving well. Thank you.

Star Awards

I will be giving out virtual Star Awards to children who have done great work at home or who have had a “Harris Standard” attitude. Teachers will nominate children for these awards and your parents can too! If you have had a birthday over the last two weeks then we send you very warm wishes and hope you had a lovely day.

Star Awards this week have gone to:

Alfie Kenworthy (Y2) for some awesome gardening

Harry Burnhan (Y3) for an excellent video presentation on Ancient Egypt

Niamh Quigley (Y5) for excellent attitude to home learning

Have a happy and safe weekend everyone!

Mrs Gregory
