A Warm Welcome
In September 2022, we opened our doors to pre-school aged children. Those children who join our Pre-School and then move onto school in Reception, enjoy a seamless transition and as a result, make fantastic progress both socially and academically.
Any child who has turned 3 during the previous school term can join our Pre-School. We offer both 15 funded hours and 30 funded hours spaces. All parents/carers of 3 year old Pre-School aged children are entitled to 15 hours free child care each week. Some families will be entitled to 30 hours free child care. Please follow the link to check your eligibility: https://www.gov.uk/30-hours-free-childcare?step-by-step-nav=f517cd57-3c18-4bb9-aa8b-1b907e279bf9
All of our Pre-School children are in our EYFS Unit with the Reception aged children. Mrs Livesey and Mrs Bilsbrough are our Pre-School key workers - both of whom are experienced Early Years practitioners. The EYFS Unit it led by Mrs Grainger, our Early Years Lead.
The Pre-School children have access to our wonderful EYFS outdoor space for most of the day and frequently go on welly walks around our school grounds. The children develop all seven areas of the EYFS Framework through play and active adult-led activities.
We offer a combination of Morning, Lunch and Afternoon sessions.
Morning session: 8:45am - 11:45am
Lunch session: 11:45am - 12:15pm
Afternoon session: 12:15pm - 3:15pm
