Thank you for all of the lovely photos of homework! Keep it up Year 1, it’s nearly half term and you’re doing so well.
Maths:
This week in Maths we have been learning about sequencing and patterns in numbers.
Can you be a pattern detective? Spot and complete the number patterns on the worksheet attached below.
English and History:
You have all made fantastic progress in holding a sentence and writing it from memory! Well done Year 1! This week, we have begun to look at extending our sentences by using the connecting word, ‘and’. In History, we have been enjoying learning facts about the Great Fire of London.
Can you write a few sentences about the Great Fire of London. Try to use the connecting word ‘and’ in each sentence.
Please can you continue to practise counting at home. Try starting from different numbers. Try to count backwards as well as forwards.
I love seeing photos of your child enjoying their homework. Please continue to take photos and/or videos of your child engaging in homework tasks and email them to me at s.grainger@harris.lancs.sch.uk
If you have any questions, please feel free to email me or speak to any of the Year 1 team at drop off or pick up.
Thank you
Mrs Grainger
