Science
Learning Objective: To look at weather forecasts and the symbols used by forecasters.
Today we are beginning our new Science topic, ‘Light and Seasonal Changes’.
We will start by looking at the weather. What has the weather been like this week? What will it be like tomorrow? How do you know?
Below is a link to some archived weather forecasts from the Met Office – you could watch the weather forecast on the TV today! As you watch the Weather report, take notice of the symbols these use and the words they use to describe the weather.
Can you be a weather reporter for today’s weather?

As it has been very windy this week, we are going to make some wind socks. Below is video all about wind socks. Can you make your own wind sock? You could use a toilet roll holder and some cut up strips of toilet roll.
