Thank you for all the wonderful photos of last week's homework! Keep playing Hit the Button, it is really helping you with your Maths calculations in class!

Part of your homework this week is to practise self hep skills. Please can you support your child in learning how to fasten buttons (on their polo tops and on trousers/skirts/pinafores), do up zips and turn their clothes the right way round – independently.

Most of the children are doing well with self-help skills but nearly all are struggling to turn tops and trousers the correct way round.

In Maths this week, we have been looking at 2D and 3D shapes. Can you go on a 3D shape hunt around your house? Can you find a cube, a cuboid, a cone and a cylinder? Can you label how many faces and how many vertices (corners) they have?

Below I have also attached another Mastery activity. This is an optional activity. It aims to deepen the children’s understanding of 3D shapes.

This week’s spellings have proved trickier than previous weeks. Next week’s spellings will focus around the same sounds as this week, to reinforce the sounds. Please can you focus on spelling practice with your child. Write each spelling into its own sentence (either this week’s spellings or the ones which are set on Friday).

Thank you!
