Tell children that today they are going to be making their own rakhi bracelets to give to someone. This doesn’t have to be a brother or a sister, but just someone that they promise they will look after. Decorate the template with sequins, glitter, collage, metallic paints or any other appropriate art materials. When finished, support children in threading a piece of ribbon (long enough to tie around a wrist) onto the template. Children can then give their rakhi bracelet to someone and tie them around their wrists for them.
