Hi everyone,

Miss Sumner has created a short dance video for the children in each class to learn. (below)

y3and4

This is "y3and4" by V on Vimeo, the home for high quality videos and the people who love them.

Practise the dance at home. If you can, film yourself performing the dance and email the video to your teacher.

Mr Cooper will then put the video clips together to create a school dance video.

If we all learn the dance, we can perform a whole school dance performance when we are all back to school in September (hopefully).

Have fun!

Friday

English-

This morning’s spellings are- arrive, believe, bicycle, breath and breathe.

You can either print the spelling mats out or do the activities in your book or on paper. You may just want to write these words in sentences of your own and ask an adult to test you on the spellings

You may want to cut out your own angles and order them or sort them into acute and obtuse angles OR try drawing “The Angle Family.”

Forest School

Year 4 Forest School Day turned out to be a bit wet and windy but we still managed to enjoy ourselves and have fun!

We enjoyed working on our art topic and developed landscapes with leaves. We also made Charlotte's web from sticks as a mini design project linked to our class reader this term.

Thank you to all who helped on the day

Mrs Garner

Scientific Investigators

This afternoon we put on our scientific hats and investigated how long it would take for pieces of chocolate to melt, using 3 different temperatures of water. We made predictions and discussed fair testing, thinking about independent and controlled variables. We had lots of fun and were rewarded for our excellent scientific skills with a piece of chocolate each!

Maybe you could try this experiment at home using butter or ice cubes. Do you think the results will be different from the chocolate results?

Mrs Grainger :-)

Woollen Woodland Creations

On Friday, we finally completed our Woollen Woodland Creations and they look spectacular! I have taken them up to Beacon Fell and they will go on display from Saturday 6th April. I believe they will be on display for the duration of the Easter break. If you can, please head up to Beacon Fell to see them!

Well done Year 4, you worked very hard on your creations and you should all be proud of yourselves.

Thank you very much to everyone who came in and supported us with the making of our creations, it was very much appreciated.

Mrs Grainger :-)
