Welcome to Year 2!
Year 2 is a very exciting and busy year, as it is a chance for the children to cement and build on all the amazing skills and knowledge they have developed during Reception and Year 1. Year 2 encourages children to become more independent in themselves and with their work to prepare them for their next step into KS2 and beyond!
The children are encouraged and supported to follow the school values:

The school day
The school day begins at 8:45-9:00 when the children will have set activities to be completing after putting away coats and bags.
During the morning there will be Maths, English, Spellings, Assemblies and break and snack. Other than Wednesday which is their PE day.
In the afternoons there will be a mixture of foundation subjects, interventions and an additional break.
School finishes at 3:15 and children are collected from the classroom door or taken to Harris Hub.
Homework, newsletters and photos will be added to this page throughout the year so we can share our learning journey with you. If you have any queries please ask at the door before or after school. Alternatively email staff@harris.lancas.sch.uk
