At Harris Primary School, we are dedicated to providing the highest quality education for all our pupils. Our school ethos reflects our commitment to fully including, respecting, and supporting every member of our school community, regardless of cultural background, belief, gender, race, or disability.

We are committed to:

  • Ensuring that everyone is treated fairly and with respect.

  • Maintaining a safe, secure, and stimulating environment for all.

  • Recognising that individuals have different needs, and understanding that treating people equally does not always mean treating them exactly the same.

  • Providing additional support where needed to help pupils achieve their full potential.

  • Involving and consulting with all members of our community, including pupils, parents, and carers, in decision-making, for example through discussions and our School Council.

  • Following clear procedures for addressing prejudice-related bullying and incidents.

To support access for pupils or parents with disabilities, Harris Primary School has taken steps to improve accessibility across the school, in line with our equality, accessibility, and inclusion policies. We also work closely with external experts and professionals, and maintain an open-door policy, allowing parents and carers to meet with the SENDCo, teachers, or Pastoral Team whenever necessary.

At Harris Primary School, we believe every child should have access to the same learning and life opportunities. We recognise that partnership between school and parents is key to achieving this goal.
