Sporting Achievements
Well done to our fantastic Year 3 and Year 4 footballers, who represented Harris with great determination and teamwork at this week’s football tournament. The children played brilliantly throughout, showing resilience, sportsmanship, and real enthusiasm for the game. We are incredibly proud of their achievement in finishing in 4th place—an excellent result and a credit to the school. A big thank you as well to the staff and families who supported them on the day.
We are looking forward to celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 5th March. Children and staff are invited to come to school dressed as a character from a favourite book. There is no expectation for families to buy new costumes — simple, homemade, or improvised outfits are absolutely welcome. Our aim is to enjoy the day, celebrate reading, and keep things fun and stress‑free for everyone.
Online Safety
Our March Online Safety Newsletter is now available on the school website and through the link provided. This month’s edition looks at mobile phone use, YouTube parental controls, and how social media algorithms influence what children see online.
Parking at drop-off and pick-up times
Families are reminded to park safely, legally, and considerately during busy drop‑off and pick‑up times. Keeping zig‑zag lines, driveways, and pedestrian paths clear helps everyone arrive and leave school safely. Please take a moment to choose a suitable parking spot, even if it means a slightly longer walk—your care makes a real difference to the safety of all our children.
