Sporting Achievements

🌟We are incredibly proud of our talented KS1 gymnasts who represented our school at the Preston School event this week. The team showed fantastic skill, determination, and teamwork throughout the competition, and their hard work paid off as they secured a brilliant 2nd place finish. Well done to all the children and staff involved — you were amazing!

Our Book Fair will be arriving at school on Wednesday 18th March. It will be set up in the school hall after school each day for one week from Wednesday to Friday. If you would like to purchase any books, please make payment online by scanning the QR codes available in school. Online payment is our preferred method. We will have a small amount of cash available for low-cost items such as pencils and pencil sharpeners. Please note that all children must be supervised by an adult after school whilst visiting the Book Fair. We can't wait!

Boys’ Choir Opportunities at Broughton Parish Church

Broughton Parish Church has a number of openings in its Boys’ Choir and is inviting pupils who enjoy singing to get involved.

Choristers take part in weekly rehearsals and services, as well as concerts and special events throughout the year. There are opportunities to perform with instrumental groups and in impressive venues. A highlight of the year is the choir’s holiday course and training week on the Isle of Man, along with regular day trips and social activities that help build strong friendships.

Membership is open to all boys, with no previous musical experience required. All training is provided free of charge.

A poster is attached for any families interested in attending a taster session.

Ofsted Information

Our school is now in its Ofsted inspection window, which means inspectors may visit at any point to review the great work happening across our community. Schools are notified on a Monday morning if an inspection is taking place, with the visit happening on the Tuesday and Wednesday of that same week. Should we receive this notification, we will let parents know on the Monday as well. To help families understand what the inspection involves, we’re sharing a short Ofsted explanation video that gives a helpful overview of the process, and we encourage you to take a moment to watch it.
