Welcome back! We hope everyone had a restful and enjoyable extended half-term break. As we enter the final half term of the academic year, there's much to look forward to. This period is packed with exciting events, enriching learning opportunities, and memorable moments for our pupils. From upcoming trips and special assemblies to productions and end-of-year celebrations, it's set to be a busy and rewarding time. Let's make the most of these final weeks together, embracing every opportunity to learn, grow, and celebrate our achievements as a school community.
Harris Fest & Summer Fair
This year's Harris Fest & Summer Fair will take place on Tuesday, 15th July, immediately after school 3:30 - 6pm.
🎵 Our theme for 2025 is the 1980s—a decade known for its iconic music, dance, and fashion. Each class will showcase a performance inspired by this era, featuring classic songs or dance routines that are sure to bring a wave of nostalgia and fun.
In addition to the performances, the PTFA has been working diligently to organise our traditional summer fair, which will include:
Exciting stalls
Delicious food and refreshing drinks
A raffle with fantastic prizes
This event promises to be a wonderful opportunity for our school community to come together and celebrate. We encourage everyone to embrace the 1980s theme—feel free to dress up in your favourite '80s attire!
Further details will be shared as we approach the date. In the meantime, if you are interested in volunteering or contributing in any way, please do not hesitate to contact the school office or reach out to ptfa@harris.lancs.sch.uk
Teachers for September 2025
We are excited to share the teaching arrangements for each year group starting this September. Our dedicated staff have thoughtfully planned class placements to ensure a balanced and supportive learning environment for all students. To help ease the transition, each child will have the opportunity to meet their new teacher and spend time in their upcoming classroom during the transition day on Thursday 3rd July. These sessions are designed to familiarise the children with their new surroundings and build confidence as they prepare for September.

Support Harris Primary in the Tesco Vote!
We’re excited to share that Harris Primary has been selected for the Tesco Stronger Starts grant scheme! This gives us the chance to receive up to £1,500 to enhance our Early Years outdoor learning area—but we need your help to win the vote!
🗳️ How You Can Help:
From the first week of April until the end of June 2025, you can vote for our project every time you shop at a participating Tesco store. Simply collect a blue token at the checkout and drop it in our voting box. The more votes we get, the better our chances of securing the funding! Please spread the word and encourage family and friends to vote too!

🌱 Our Harris Project:
We want to create an engaging and educational outdoor space to support our youngest learners in all areas of their development. With this grant, we hope to:
✅ Purchase Early Years bikes and other equipment to build core strength and coordination.
✅ Install a water wall to spark curiosity in science and problem-solving.
✅ Develop a gardening and outdoor investigation area to help children connect with nature.
✅ Provide outdoor mark-making equipment to inspire creativity, writing, and drawing.
Your support will make a huge difference to our children’s learning and development.
Every vote counts—let’s make this happen together!
