🌟 Fantastic Sporting achievements
Before half term, our brilliant Key Stage 1 gymnastics team represented Harris at the Preston School competition and were absolutely amazing. The boys swept the board, taking 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th places, while the girls achieved an impressive 2nd and 3rd place. Their outstanding performances meant the team finished 1st overall — a superb achievement. We also want to congratulate our team of Year 6 runners who represented the school in the Cross-Country competition, showing fantastic determination and resilience throughout. Well done to all the children involved; you’ve made us incredibly proud.
Sports Day
Sports Day will take place on Monday 15th June on the Key Stage 2 field, and we are delighted to invite families to come along, watch and cheer the children on. The EYFS and Key Stage 1 events will run from 9:30–11:15am, followed by the Key Stage 2 events from 1:00–3:00pm. We look forward to a fantastic day of fun, teamwork and sporting spirit.
Transition to the next year group
On the morning of Thursday 2nd July, all children will spend time in their new classrooms for a Transition Morning, where they will meet their September 2026 class teacher and teaching assistants. On this day, please drop your child off at the classroom they will be moving to in September, and collect them from their current classroom at the end of the school day. Parents and carers will also have the opportunity to meet the new teaching teams after school on Tuesday 14th July, with visits taking place in classrooms. Transition booklets, containing useful information about routines and expectations, will be sent home over the next few weeks.

Enrichment
The week before half term, the children who attend our after‑school Player’s Drama group took to the stage to perform their end‑of‑term show — and it was a wonderful success. Their confidence, teamwork and creativity shone throughout, and it's fantastic to see how much progress they have made.
