This half term our question is ‘How Can Animals Survive?
We started off by sorting animals, recapping our knowledge of different animal groups.
Next we learnt about the 3 things animals need to survive whilst also demonstrating that different animals need different care.
Following this we are looking at animals in our local environment and tallying up the different mini-beasts we found taking note of the habitat they prefer. We thought that woodlice like dark, damp places to live and we will test this by making habitats for them.
Knowing that animals are suited to their habitat we will look at the food they eat from their chosen habitat and make simple food chains.
