Transition Morning – Tuesday 2nd July
On the morning of Tuesday 2nd July, all children will spend time in their new classrooms for a Transition Morning, where they will meet their September 2026 class teacher and teaching assistants. On this day, please drop your child off at the classroom they will be moving to in September, and collect them from their current classroom at the end of the school day. Parents and carers will also have the opportunity to meet the new teaching teams after school on Tuesday 14th July, with visits taking place in classrooms. Transition booklets, containing useful information about routines and expectations, will be sent home over the next few weeks.

We are fast approaching the biggest event of our school year – Harris Fest! This year’s celebration will take place on Friday 3rd July, 3:30pm–6:00pm.
From 3:30pm–5:00pm, families can enjoy a fantastic range of stalls, games, inflatables, tombola, food and a bar.
From 5:00pm–6:00pm, all children will take part in a special performance, followed by the raffle draw.
As you can imagine, Harris Fest is a large event and we simply cannot run it without the support of our parent community. We are looking for volunteers to help with setting up during the afternoon, running stalls, and assisting with the tidy‑up afterwards.
Please be assured that anyone helping on the day will still be able to watch their child’s performance, as most stalls will close during this time.
If you are able to offer your time, even for a short slot, please email ptfa@harris.lancs.sch.uk with your availability.
Let’s work together to make this the best Harris Fest yet!
Online Safety Updates
Our June Online Safety newsletter is available to view on the school website and via this link. We are also excited to announce that, alongside the written parent newsletter, we will now be sharing a short accompanying video each month to support key online safety messages at home. Our June video focuses on scammers and digital footprints , offering helpful tips and guidance to keep children safe while online. We hope you find these resources useful and informative.
PFTA Non-uniform days
On Friday 26th June, we will be holding a non-uniform day in exchange for an item to go into our rainbow raffle. Each class has been allocated a different colour, see photo for your child’s colour and some ideas. Also on Friday 3rd July we will be holding a non-uniform day in exchange for a donation for our chocolate raffle. Please ensure all donations are nut free.
