We are fast approaching the biggest event of our school year – Harris Fest! This year’s celebration will take place on Friday 3rd July, 3:30pm–6:00pm.
From 3:30pm–5:00pm, families can enjoy a fantastic range of stalls, games, inflatables, tombola, food and a bar.
From 5:00pm–6:00pm, all children will take part in a special performance, followed by the raffle draw.
As you can imagine, Harris Fest is a large event and we simply cannot run it without the support of our parent community. We are looking for volunteers to help with setting up during the afternoon, running stalls, and assisting with the tidy‑up afterwards.
Please be assured that anyone helping on the day will still be able to watch their child’s performance, as most stalls will close during this time.
If you are able to offer your time, even for a short slot, please email ptfa@harris.lancs.sch.uk with your availability.
Let’s work together to make this the best Harris Fest yet!
Non-uniform days and England World Cup games
With the excitement of the England World Cup matches building, children are welcome to come to school wearing England shirts or red, white and blue clothing on match days. The next fixture is on Tuesday 23rd June. Face paint and accessories are also welcome, as we cheer the team on together and enjoy the tournament spirit.
Also on Friday 26th June, we will be holding a non-uniform day in exchange for an item to go into our rainbow raffle. Each class has been allocated a different colour, see photo for your child’s colour and some ideas. Also on Friday 3rd July we will be holding a non-uniform day in exchange for a donation for our chocolate raffle. Please ensure all donations are nut free.
Transition to next year group
Transition Morning – Tuesday 2nd July
On the morning of Tuesday 2nd July, all children will spend time in their new classrooms for a Transition Morning, where they will meet their September 2026 class teacher and teaching assistants. On this day, please drop your child off at the classroom they will be moving to in September, and collect them from their current classroom at the end of the school day. Parents and carers will also have the opportunity to meet the new teaching teams after school on Tuesday 14th July, with visits taking place in classrooms. Transition booklets, containing useful information about routines and expectations, will be sent home over the next few weeks.
