Harris Fest & Summer Fair
This year's Harris Fest & Summer Fair will take place on Tuesday 15th July, immediately after school 3:30 - 6pm.
🎵 Our theme for 2025 is the 1980s—a decade known for its iconic music, dance, and fashion. Each class will showcase a performance inspired by this era, featuring classic songs or dance routines that are sure to bring a wave of nostalgia and fun.
In addition to the performances, the PTFA has been working diligently to organise our traditional summer fair, which will include:
Exciting stalls
Delicious food and refreshing drinks
A raffle with fantastic prizes
This event promises to be a wonderful opportunity for our school community to come together and celebrate. We encourage everyone to embrace the 1980s theme—feel free to dress up in your favourite '80s attire!
Further details will be shared as we approach the date. In the meantime, if you are interested in volunteering or contributing in any way, please do not hesitate to contact the school office or reach out to ptfa@harris.lancs.sch.uk

Considerate parking at drop off and pick up times
We kindly ask all parents and carers to park safely and responsibly when dropping off or collecting children from school. Please be mindful of our local residents by avoiding blocking driveways, parking on verges, or causing obstructions. Carnoustie Close (opposite school) is an access only cul de sac and should not be used for parking. Let’s work together to ensure everyone’s safety and maintain positive relationships with our community. Thank you for your cooperation!
Sports Days Reminder
With Sports Days taking place next week, we kindly remind parents to be mindful of the warm weather. Please ensure your child comes to school with a water bottle, sun hat, appropriate sun protection and dressed in their PE kit. The Sports Day events will be held on the Key Stage 2 field, and families are warmly invited to stay and enjoy watching the activities. We look forward to a fun and active week!

We want to create an engaging outdoor space to support our youngest learners in all areas of their development. With this grant, we hope to:
✅ Purchase Early Years bikes and other equipment to build core strength and coordination.
✅ Install a water wall to spark curiosity in science and problem-solving.
✅ Develop a gardening and outdoor investigation area to help children connect with nature.
✅ Provide outdoor mark-making equipment to inspire creativity, writing, and drawing.
Your support will make a huge difference to our children’s learning and development.
Every vote counts—let’s make this happen together!
