Break The Rules Day
To raise money for PTFA funds, next Friday, 23rd May, we will be hosting aBreak The Rules Day.
On that day, children can choose to break any of the 7 rules on the poster below.
Children can choose to break as many or as few of these rules as they would like. Children are only able to break these 7 rules, and must stick to all other school rules and must stick to the school values (Be Kind, Be Thankful, Be Ambitious).
Please make a donation of 50p for each rule broken, and an additional 50p to wear a football kit.
E.g. Wearing a football kit and trainers means breaking the Wear school uniform (50p) and School shoes only (50p) rules, as well as wearing a football kit (additional 50p), meaning a suggested donation of £1.50.
PLEASE NOTE: WE ARE A NUT FREE SCHOOL (ALL SNACKS MUST BE NUT FREE)
Many Thanks
The PTFA Team

We are incredibly proud of each and every one of our Year 6 children for the tremendous effort and determination shown in preparing and taking their KS2 SATs. All the hard work, perseverance and positive attitude have truly paid off. They tackled the challenge with resilience, proving just how capable and remarkable they are. Well done Year 6, for setting a fantastic example for others to follow. #TheHarrisWay
Harris Fest & Summer Fair
This year's Harris Fest will now take place on Tuesday, 15th July, immediately after school 3:30 - 6pm. Please note the change of date and time. The earlier timings should be better for families with younger children.
🎵 Our theme for 2025 is the 1980s—a decade known for its iconic music, dance, and fashion. Each class will showcase a performance inspired by this era, featuring classic songs or dance routines that are sure to bring a wave of nostalgia and fun.
In addition to the performances, the PTFA has been working diligently to organize our traditional summer fair, which will include:
Exciting stalls
Delicious food and refreshing drinks
A raffle with fantastic prizes
This event promises to be a wonderful opportunity for our school community to come together and celebrate. We encourage everyone to embrace the 1980s theme—feel free to dress up in your favorite '80s attire!
Further details will be shared as we approach the date. In the meantime, if you are interested in volunteering or contributing in any way, please do not hesitate to contact the school office or reach out to ptfa@harris.lancs.sch.uk
Support Harris Primary in the Tesco Stronger Starts Vote!
We’re excited to share that Harris Primary has been selected for the Tesco Stronger Starts grant scheme! This gives us the chance to receive up to £1,500 to enhance our Early Years outdoor learning area—but we need your help to win the vote!
🗳️ How You Can Help:
From the first week of April until the end of June 2025, you can vote for our project every time you shop at a participating Tesco store. Simply collect a blue token at the checkout and drop it in our voting box. The more votes we get, the better our chances of securing the funding! Please spread the word and encourage family and friends to vote too!
📍 Participating Tesco Stores: Preston & Penwortham
🌱 Our Harris Project:
We want to create an engaging and educational outdoor space to support our youngest learners in all areas of their development. With this grant, we hope to:
✅ Purchase Early Years bikes and other equipment to build core strength and coordination.
✅ Install a water wall to spark curiosity in science and problem-solving.
✅ Develop a gardening and outdoor investigation area to help children connect with nature.
✅ Provide outdoor mark-making equipment to inspire creativity, writing, and drawing.
Your support will make a huge difference to our children’s learning and development.
Every vote counts—let’s make this happen together!
