🗳️ Final Weekend to Vote – We Need Your Support!

This is the final weekend to vote for our Harris Project in the Tesco Stronger Starts grant scheme! We have the chance to receive up to £1,500 to enhance our Early Years outdoor learning area—but we need a final push from our community to win! 🏃‍♀️ Watch the clip above, an inspiring message from Jessica Ennis-Hill and help us spread the word. Every vote counts!

From now until the end of June, you can vote every time you shop at one of the participating Tesco stores listed below. Just pick up a blue token at checkout and pop it in our box. Encourage friends and family to do the same—it could make all the difference!

📍Participating Stores Include:
Preston Superstore, Ribbleton Preston Express, Fulwood Express, Blackpool Rd Express, Tulketh Mill Express, Friargate Express, Fishergate Express, Moor Lane Express, and Penwortham Superstore.

🌿 What Your Votes Support:

  • 🚲 Early Years bikes and equipment to support strength and coordination

  • 💧 A water wall to inspire science learning

  • 🌱 A gardening and investigation zone to connect with nature

  • 🎨 Outdoor mark-making tools to boost creativity and early writing skills

Let’s make this vision a reality for our youngest learners. Thank you for your continued support!

Transition Day

We are pleased to let you know that the transition session will take place on the morning of Thursday 3rd June. On this day, children (current reception to Year 5) should go directly to their new class at drop-off time, where they will be welcomed by their teacher for the next academic year. During the transition morning, the children will have the opportunity to get to know the adults who will be working in their next class. They will also follow the breaktime and lunchtime routines of their new year group to help them become familiar with the changes. After lunch playtime, current teachers will collect their classes and return to their usual classrooms for the afternoon lessons. Please collect your child from their current classroom at home time, as usual.

Well done to all the children for completing the sponsored run

with Deepdale Duck this week!

Everyone showed fantastic energy and determination, and it was wonderful to see so many smiling faces taking part. We’re thrilled to share that the children raised an amazing £965 in sponsorship – a huge thank you to all families and friends for your incredible support.

The money raised will be split between the PNE Community Trust and purchasing new sports kit for our children to wear with pride when representing Harris at sporting events.

Well done, Team Harris – we’re so proud of you all!
